The programme for the seminar is here: [English / German]. The main reference for the seminar is the book "Lectures on the h-cobordism theorem" by John Milnor. See the programme for more references and abstracts of the talks.

Prerequisites

• The course Topology I, Wintersemester 17/18.
• We will also use a bit of the course Topology II, Sommersemester 2018 (but not much, just cohomology and Poincaré duality).
• Some basic concepts from differential topology. The course Global Analysis I, Wintersemester 17/18 would for example be useful to have attended, but it is certainly not a critical prerequisite.
